Financial crisis has arrived with the annoucement of the bankruptcy of the forth largest bank, X Brothers, as well as the selling of another bank. Their shares have since dropped tremendously while other shares and company have also been affected. More people will lose their jobs especially from those affected company. I suppose there will be more suicide cases. However, life is precious so do think twice before doing anything.
My brother has finally found a job at Baclays which is the sponsor of Barclays Premier league. I hope that he can work there for a long period of time and get free tickets to England to watch soccer matches!

It is time to make some changes so I changed my blogskin. Shikamura is one of my favourite characters in the Naruto series because of his intelligence. I am also sort of same as him as we both are lazy to bother on troublesome things. The rainy background also describes the weather in this season. I also love the blue layout.
Throughout the months of slacking, I begin to watch Miami Ink on Travel and Living channel which is about tattoo. I enjoy watching the lives of the tattooists and the stories behind those who go for tattoo and of course the tattoo arts. I think that I would never go for tattoo because it seems to hurt a lot. As a result of the show's popularity, there are even LA Ink and London Ink.
In the weekends, I will always watch Green Light Forest (direct translate) on Channel U which is repeated for the second time. This is the first time that I am really into the drama series. The drama series is not that bad but quite slow. I have the urge to watch You're My Destiny as this drama series has the highest number of viewers in Taiwan. After Green Light Forest, I will watch The Golden Path for the second time on Channel 8. I love the story very much and the people acted very well. I wish them all the best in the Red Stars Awards.
I love Jam Hsiao's Forgive Me. I love it when I first listened on the MTV channel. I then realised that it was written by FIR's Ah Qin. He is super talented.
Fortunately this season Champions League is still telecasted on StarHub cable TV. I have heard that MioTv is buying over it for the next season.
There was a naked guy, who sold drugs, jumped down from housing estate and made it to the headline a few months ago. He was actually a very faraway relative of mine but I had never seen him before so my family did not go for his funeral. My auntie passed away in June as a result of her illness. I actually wanted to visit her with my mother in the hospital that day but she was gone before we could even see her. Maybe it was a good relief for her because she did not live a good life when alive. Hope that she is happy in heaven...
There is an increasing number of AIDS cases in Singapore so people must be extremely careful. I have watched a show on Channel 5 about the two true stories of the youngsters. There was one JC girl who gave her first time to her JC boyfriend on their first year anniversary. After a few days, she suffered from some illnesses and began to surf net to check about the illnesses. Then she suspected she got aids and did a blood test. It turned out to be positive. She had since broke up with her boyfriend who was actually the carrier of AIDS. Another one was about a group of boys giving a boy a prostitute as his birthday present. He kena AIDS because of that.
I have donated blood for four times. First was at TP, second at Pasir Ris Community Club, third at Habourfornt Centre and forth at HSA. I could feel the pain for the forth time. I was early for donation for the forth time but my cells counting is sufficient for donation.
I want to congratulate Table Tennis Team Singapore for winning silver medal for the women doubles in the Beijing Olympics as well as the swimmers for also winning gold and silver medals in Paralympics.
Well done Liverpool for being able to defeat Man United. Robinho proved that he is worth the money by scoring the free kick for Man City. Big match between Chelsea and Man United is coming up this weekend. Hope that Chelsea can appeal successfully for John Terry's red card.
I like watching The Dark Knight,Ironman and Kungfu Panda as a result of the action-pact for the first two movies and the humorous parts of Kungfu Panda.
My favourite drama series, House, is having its finale later on and I had watched The Yang Warriors finale just now. I am feeling sad that my favourite shows are ending one by one.
I was disappointed that my favourite band, Dream Factory, did not manage to get back into the Superband competition.
I enjoy watching 7pm weekdays drama series on Channel 8 although it is Malaysia-based because of the story.
First time ever I tried dye-ing and perming my hair. I actually allowed the hairstylist to decide whether to straighten or perm but she said perming is better so as to have a new image. True because if I straighten my hair, my image will be the same as during my first year of Poly. However, I look very old with my new image...
I actually supported France in Euro 2008 because of Thierry Henry. I had never missed any match at all. France performance was quite dissappointing. For the final, I helped to cheer for Spain because my dad and brother betted on Spain.
I went to Sentosa to watch animal show with my family as well as zoo throughout my slacking days. It was hot, tired and smelly when moved too near to land animals such as rinho at zoo. But it was a good experience to see so many live animals at one go.
I worked in XXX company as a part-timer for 6 weeks. I did not like the working environment as my colleagues were so-not-friendly and I had to keep working OT. Super tiring. My considerations of job are 1) location, 2) environment and 3) salary. I took one day leave to go for an interview at XX Hospital for lab technician position but was rejected. I had a difficult time finding the building and had to compete the position with University students. I was shocked to find out that the hospital put up the same position adverstiment a few weeks ago again.
I am anticipating to watch 2 Fast 2 Furious coming up during the weekends on Channel 5. Seems cool. I am also anticipating the first night race two weeks later held in Singapore for the first time. I prefer the Ferrari team to win the race.
A few days ago, I read a news about a student committing suicide. There were also two more deaths a few weeks ago. Is there really no solutions to the problems they faced?

Hmm since I am so free now, I shall do a recap on some of the happenings in my Polytechnic life.
After getting my O levels results, I was puzzled on where I should head on next. My choices included Meridian Junior College (MJC), Tampines Junior College (TPJC), Temasek Polytechnic (TP) and other far far (cannot remember but should be Nanyang or Jurong) Junior Colleges. My form teacher and tuition teacher encouraged me to go JC. However my results could not get me into MJC and TPJC science option although they are located near to my house. I could get into other science option of some faraway JCs but their locations are just too far away from my house (I did not want to wake up early and travel so far). Furthermore if I could not get into university either from JC or Poly, having a diploma is more well-recognised that A level certificate. Moreover, TP is counted as quite near to my house. So in the end, I chose the best science course in TP as my first choice. Fortunately I managed to get into my first choice out of my three choices.
I was so sad and worried about going for the orientation for the first day. I met up with a secondary classmate who was also in the same course with me but different caregroup. I needed him to lead the way to the lecture hall as I always tend to lose my way. In the lecture hall, I was sitting beside Benjamin, then KaiLing sat next to me on the other side. I felt super bored as I did not dare to talk to either of them and they also did not bother to talk to me. As time goes by, I finally plucked up my courage and talked to Marie and KaiLing. I even spoke english when talking to KaiLing because she seemed like an English-speaking person. It was quite a hardwork for me as my English is always very terrible. Forunately I realised that they are mandarin-speaking after a while later.
I remembered me playing the scissor, paper, stone game with a malay guy in a challenge. I thought that I won so I picked up the pail of water then only realised that I lost after the seniors told me. Then I picked up the umbrella instead but that malay guy poured the water from the top so I was super wet. That made my morale really low. I even got serious sun burnt after sitting too long under the sun at the field watching ball match. My morale became even lower. I was really sad after getting home as I felt that most of my classmates did not seem to be friendly. As I loved chatting online with friends that time, I added all of the people from my caregroup and even chatted with some of them. I also slowly began to blog after being taught by KaiLing a few months later.
For the rest of the days, I met up with KaiLing and Marie at the busstop before lecture time as one lonely person went into the lecture hall seemed quite pathetic to me. Fortunately KaiLing eventually found out that level one was a better place to meet as there are tables and was more quiet after a few months later. A few weeks later, Marie suddenly disappeared from lectures and tutorialS. Chee Leong, Michelle and I thus formed an investigation team to find out what actually happened to her. Lol. We went to her house but nobody was at home so we left a note. And the truth was out after the person called Michelle. Marie also sent me an email saying she was alright, thanked us for our concern and the reasons for going back to her country.
As time passed, Kailing and I, two persons teams, got to know Jinshun, ChaurLee, Angelynn, Benjamin, Celine, Wilson, CheeLeong, ChiLong, Michelle, Micheal, YengTing. Our favourite hang-out place to chat, study, watch movies after lunch should be library's very cold room seven. Yenting left the group but Eugene, ShinFen and ShiHui joined in. It is cool to have two couples developing relationship from the very big group which still continue now.
In the second year, Kailing and I began to mix with new students because break times did not really clash after one course broke into four courses. The most fequent people that we managed to meet for lunch should be ChiLong, Michelle and Eugene. I was not in the same class as Kailing for the two terms. Only the first term of year 3, we were finally allocated in the same class.
It was a fun experience for me during attachment as my supervisor and my course mates are nice although the journey is super far. I was lucky to be able to ride on my course mate's car to and back from the workplace as I live very near to her. If not, I had to wake up super duper early.
Throughout the years, I have a lot of first times. First time organising outings but very few people turned up, skipping lessons (I remember one time three of us from PST skipped lectures to accompany JinShun at the library and gossipped...Lol), sleeping during lessons, copying during tests (I copied JinShun's multiple choice answers because I got 3 tests that day and the day before I gave my support for the guys in the singing competition so I only managed to study for the more important tests), participating in singing competition, playing mahjong (taught in chalet and by my brother), eating coco crunch with milk (also from chalet), staying overnight in chalet.
My moments that were memorable...
Most Risky: During Maths Stats examination, Kailing sat behind me asked me the formula to use for one question. I wrote out and showed her. But later I realised it was wrong. So I plucked out my courage again and whispered to her then showed her my paper. After that, my heart pumped super super fast and fortunately no invigilator was behind at that time and the one infront was not paying attention to us. The only person who caught us was XueFang who was sitting next to me. Lol.
Most Touched and Thankful: Below are the people who are not that close to me but still gave me a hand thus I was very touched by their actions.
1) In watertech module, we had to form groups of 4 to do project. However because I am the quiet type and Pearlyne always helped to speak up during tutorials, I did not know how to approach the others and Pearlyne was not there. During tutorials, Pearlyne and I would always form group with the fixed people. But I did not understand why that time, they just formed among themselves and added Pearlyne into the list on their own. I did approach them in the end but they said they had enough people already. That really hurted me very much. After the tutorial, I smsed Pearlyne and asked her about that. She said she would not abandon me alone. If worse came to worse, she would form groups of two with me.
2) Also involve watertech module. I went up to the usual place for tutorial but found nobody there so I looked around and sat outside to wait for a while. Then Valerie who was in the same tutorial class as me, went up all the way from lecture hall level 1/2 to level 5/6 and told me that the tutor had combined two classes together and held in the lecture hall. I think that she did see me while walking the stairs.
Most Lame: I had chosen modules that were same as KaiLing's but always did not manage to get into the first choice. As I did not want to be alone during tutorial, there were a number of times when I gave up popular cds and took up very unpopular ones so as to be with people that I knew. Examples were giving up food science and nutrition for business chinese, accountancy for another business course and one module for PIPC2. Fortunately, I still managed to pass all those modules.
Most Stupid: 1)I was lost in Bedok after taking the second theory driving test. My brother had actually helped me to check the number of busstops before alighting and changing another bus on the other side in order to reach TP as I had a tutorial to attend. However, I was not sure whether the busstop that I boarded the bus was the first busstop or the next one was the first. Thus leading to calculation error. I kept walking back from the busstop that I alighted as there was no busstop on the other side but could not find any straight trail back. So I suffered under the hot sun trying to find busstop with the bus number. My last choice was to call Benjamin as he lives in Bedok and asked for direction. I realised that by the time I reached TP, the tutorial was already over so I took a bus home instead.
2)I boarded 518 A and thought that the road that it drove was supposed to be the same as 518 but it drove straight to highway. When I realised that something was not right, I asked the passenger next to me and alighted the first busstop after highway. I was thinking whether to take cab home then board bus (stupid thinking). Then I called Michelle and she told me to take cab straight to TP. I was super late for tutorial as a result.
Most Eyecandy: 1)I managed to meet the guy that I admired during my secondary school life on bus 518 to TP and 21 back home, in Mensa canteen and lastly along the walkway to business sch. He is still as cool as during my secondary school life.
2) I also liked a chemical engineering junior's hairstyle who sat infront of me during a lecture. Till now, I still have not see his face yet...Lol
Most Guilty: I left accountancy module for another module so as to be with the people that I knew. Actually Pearlyne was in the same acountancy tutorial class with me but I felt that I was not that close to her. She was very sad when she knew that I transferred out as I was the only person that she knew in that class.
Favourite Songs: From the first time that I have heard Sylvester Sim songs, I really fell for them. I still like listening till now.
Favourite Teacher: 1) Mr Chan because he has no temper although he did not teach very well.
2) PIPC2 tutorial teacher because of his unique ah-beng teaching styles.
Most Unfortuante: 1)I sprained my left ankle twice. First time was playing volleyball while for the second time, I was talking on the phone while walking down the stairs and missed one step in the LT.
2) I slipped from the library stairs and kena big patch black-green on my right thigh.
Most Regretful: For working part time during my year three which caused my GPA to drop.
There were a number of birthday celebrations during the three years. Below are some that I can still remember in alphabetical order.
Angelynn's at chalet and her house with polo tee and hamsters as presents.
